Deli Manager

Job Summary

The Deli Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing sales in our Deli Department. They will work with our management team to insure the success of our organization. The Deli Manager will need to project future sales, be forward thinking, be able to multitask in a fast paced environment and work with people of all types.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities of this job are:

Writing Orders and Maintaining Inventory

Setting Pricing to Maintain and Grown Profits in Department

Culling Department

Checking in Trucks and Putting Trucks Away properly (labor intensive position)

Cleaning Department and Maintaining a Food Safe Work Environment

Taking Inventory as Per Store Procedure

Using Knowledge to Inform Customers and to Grow Sales

Being Creative to Create Sales Appeal

Being a Team Player and Train All New Employees in Department Properly

Maintain Food Manager Certification

Be Customer Service Oriented

Take Customer Special Orders

Run Catering Events That Come Up Including Pricing, Cooking, Serving and Cleaning up

Any Other Tasks Pertaining to the Department and Managerial Team

Qualifications and Skills

Experience in retail preferred, but willing to train energetic and motivated person

High School Diploma or Greater Education Preferred

Must be able to use computers, competent in Microsoft Excel and Word


Performance Based Bonus of up to 25% of Base Wages

Paid Vacation (based on hours worked after 6 months of employment)

Hours Are Mostly Day Time With a Few Evening Shifts and Every Other Weekend (Opposite Weekend is 3 Day Weekend).

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $20.00 /hour
